I found a beautiful Noah's Ark puzzle (I will add a photo soon) it is 1,000 pieces and will be a challenge but I'm up for it.  I am asking a $2.00 donation per piece.  No limit to the number of pieces you purchase. Please comment below so I know how many pieces to add your name too!

Let's jumpstart the stall!

Ok I have a fundraiser that is on going "Wrapped in Love" it is being sponsored by Shauna at Fearfully and Wonderfully made.  She is putting together a beautiful quilt.  I hope to have some pictures soon.  She is putting together the leaves of the tree and the blocks by those who donate.  The leaves are a $15 donation and the blocks are a $25 donation.  Any size donation will have you being a part of the quilt!  We want this precious little girl to know how much she is loved!  Donations can be made via the chip-in at the top right of the blog.  I will be taking the quilt on one of the trips to meet and bring Sophia home.

Wrapped in love

Shauna is sponsoring the wrapped in love quilt fundraiser for Sophia.  She has designed a beautiful quilt that she is putting together for me to take on one or more of my trips to wrap Sophia in.  We originally had the donations set up to be $25 for a block (you design or we can) and $15 for a leaf (it is a tree theme).  We so appreciate those that have already donated.  We wanted to really show Sophia the love that is out there and all about her.  SO we decided to open it up the donations above still stand however anyone who makes any donation will have there name or family name on the quilt somewhere. I want you to know that I love the kindness and generosity you all continue to show me and Sophia.  God Bless

Math and I are not friends...

As many of you have heard me say "Math and I are not friends"  LOL  So I miscalculated.  I do believe the funds I need for the first trip are good to go.  Sorry for the confusion.  Bless you all for your patience and support.  :)


Although this will be a 4 trip adoption which means I have 3 more trips to fund after this first one.  (I can do basic math hee hee).

So close....yet so far away

I thought I had all the funds needed for the first trip (only the first trip, but what an important trip).  I had asked all the reight questions, at least I thought I did.  Maybe I wasn't clear or people misunderstood, either way I'm a little short for the first trip.  I figure I am about $2,500 - $3,000 short. This includes the actual travel costs (airport, hotels, food etc)...minor things LOL. 

So I have two fundraisers going.  You are probably tired of hearing about them but let me tell you I can't stop talking about them until I have my daughter home with me.  I have a quilt - Wrapped in love going on.

For those of you who love Football or love someone who loves football and will or won't be watching Super Bowl this fundraiser is for you! It's a football pool!  At www.footballsquaresonline.com/game/16706  Password: 5853  You create a login and your in and can pick your squares.  The numbers will be randomly generated by the site.  Squares are $15.  All squares have to be filled to have a valid game.  There will be CASH prizes!  All squares can be paid via the chip in on the left (Dossier Submission).  This fundraiser works $1,000 will be raised for Sophia's adoption.  I just need 100 people to donate $15.00 each or 50 donating $30 or any other combination to fill the 100 squares.  :)

Thanks to Adeye and the opportunity to get my story out there.  I am single and soon to be a first time mom once my adoption is final.  I can't wait to get to her country and except her referral!  I might as well be carrying her myself like a traditional pregnancy, I love her so much!

I want to thank Adeye from No Greater Joy Mom She is promoting families who are in needs of funds to adopt thier children.  I am adopting a precious little girl she will be my first child and I am so excited to be a mom.  I am just a few papers away from submitting my dossier which means I will get to go and meet her.  I am so excited and a little nervous that all the necessary funds will be there.  I have faith though that I am on the path God has guided me too and I know he will provide.  Thank you for considering helping my journey, either by saying a little prayer, sharing my blog and story, and or making a donation.  Every donation big or small counts!

He loves even the stubborn soul

So I am a stubborn soul.  Have been since the day I was born, just ask my mom.  J  I was what I call a “why child” (still am but not as much hee hee) or a “how child.”  When asked to do something I would ask why or how and the answer needed to make sense to me or I didn’t see the point in doing it.  As you can imagine this was very frustrating trying to convince a small child why she needed to do something.  Most times my mom said she would go with “I’m your mother and I said so,” I couldn’t argue that she was my mother and she did say so. 

What does this have to do with anything you are probably thinking.  Well even being a stubborn soul my Heavenly Father still loves and blesses me.  I have seen that love and received those blessing along this bumpy road of adoption.  There have been many times that I thought “Why is this so expensive?”  “How am I going to raise this much money,” or “How am I going to get that much money by that date?”  You know what happened every time….Heavenly Father provided.  He knows my heart and the love that I have for that precious little girl sitting in an orphanage so far away, waiting for a family.  He knows Sophia’s heart and wanting to be loved and hugged.  He is providing for us both. 

He has touched and guided many of your hearts and you have heeded that guidance and donated.  I am so appreciative of you.  I know some off you haven’t been able to donate do to your finances but then you prayed, and left a little love in the comments telling me of your support of my journey and your love of Sophia.  You also spread the word and shared my blog or Facebook page.  Because of that two matching grants were donated to my journey.  Jennifer and Joel Webb, Roofity and their Business partner Seth donated $3,000 to be matched.  Eric and Lisa Pegler set up a $500 matching grant in memory of their special son who was called home to his Heavenly Father at the tender age of 3.  I will be honest, I wanted to raise the $3,500 so I could take full advantage of the matching grants, however I thought I don’t know that is a lot to raise in one month.  I think it was January 10^th I posted on face book that over $600 had been raised towards those grants.  I was excited but thought I still have over $2,800 to raise.  Guess what…two days later my grant jumped over $2,700!!  Yep approximately $100 shy of the $2,800 I needed to get the full matching grant. 

God always amazes me and I know I shouldn’t be amazed in that He has shown me time and time again over the last year the He has this adoption and everything I need to complete it.  I just need to keep on trucking so to speak.  Doing all I can to raise the money and complete the paperwork and He will provide. 

The $ money for the dossier has been raised now on the next step the trips and all that go along with it.  I hope you will journey on with me.
