AMAZING NEWS

It was a normal quiet Friday.  I came howm from work went to my mom's for dinner.  After dinner and watching my soap (guilty pleasure) LOL   We walked our dogs. My mom started with them both so I threw out her trash and went to chck my mail.  I only had one thing in the box, it was a large white envelope from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.  Ok I thought well I have seen these before alwys confirming my biometrics appointment (which I had done 15 days ago).  Then in the light I saw the words NOTICE OF FAVORABLE DETERMINATION"  OMG could it be?  I thought for a split second and then the reality that I hadmy prints done 15 days ago and the website said they were months behind and so it couldn't be.

I got home opend it and read it.  It sure sounded like it was saying I was approved... so what is a newbie to the adoption world to do... Go to Facebook of course and ask all of her new friends/family.  If any one would know at 8:15 at night they would.  And sure enough they did!  It was my GOLDEN TICKET!

That's right I have the GOLDEN TICKET and now panic has set in how am I going to be able to go and accept a referral and travel when there is about $18,000 needed for the first trip alone.  PANIC!!!!

Scentsy Fundraiser

 I was told if I do $500 in sales not only will Sophia's fund grow, your home will smell wonderful BUT  those that order will be entered into a drawing for "Sasha" the scentsy Teddy Bear. These little guys are wonderful. I have the lion waiting for Sophia. There are items are amazing. They also make great gifts!  Get some or all your holiday, Christmas shopping done early!

Service

My mom was asked to give a talk at church and the topic was service.  She let me read it and these two thoughts really stood out to me.

The ideal is accepting life itself as a trust to be

used in the welfare of mankind.  It is a life that is glad for the chance

to be of any help, an attitude that service is the rent we pay for our own room on earth.

"Heavenly Father is a vastly loving God, and it has always been his intention to support us….We accepted the challenge to bear one another’s burdens.  Now bearing one another’s burdens sounds like a chore, but it’s amazing how lightened we quickly feel when we do the work.  Think for a moment why that is.  When we bear one another’s burdens, we are acting as an agent for Christ, and by so doing we’re coming to Christ….How blessed and grateful we should be that our Heavenly Father knew what we would need and then provided the means where these needs could be met through the hearts and hands of others who love”

Yeah!!

I am excited to say I got the letter for my biometric fingerprint appointment!  I am going to try and go in on Friday this week instead of the actual date in 2 weeks when I have to work. LOL

A HUGE thank you to the person(s) who donated to Sophia's FSP.  It jumped $50!   You don't realize how happy that makes me and how grateful I am.  Thank you for being on the journey to Sophia with me.

I discovered today that when you take a leap or even a tiny step in faith you find out it's not as dark outside as you thought.  Thanks to our Heavenly Father. 

Moving of the Auction

Hello everyone!  I moved the auction to my Facebook page (Megan Meier) the photos are open to the public for the auction.  I wanted to try and get more traffic to the wonderful items that have been donated to me for Sophia.  It looks like it works too!  We have more bids!  Yeah.

Anyone willing to help a girl out? I am looking for someone willing to host an online Park Lane Jewlery party for me. A friend out of state is a consultant and has offered to do a fundraiser for Sophia. She is going to donate an additional 25% (her commission) PLUS the company fundraiser donation of 15%. That is 40% to Sophia's fund!! I am looking for someone to do this for Sophia and I to expand our friends and contacts. Alll I am asking of you is to be the contact person and send out and promote the fundraiser. I will help on my end too. Please and thank you!
