Two days ago my home was burglarized. :( As the days progress the angrier and a little more nervous I get. Well I lost my most used item...the laptop and other things as well as having my personal space violated and my home ransacked. Then I found out the deductble from renters insurance was about 1/2 of the amount that I actually lost. Doesn't seem like I will be able to replace the items stolen. I was also told I wouldn't probably hear from the claims department until next week.
I got a call the day I placed the claim. They said due to the age of the items I wasn't going to get a lot but minus the deductible I would get a little bit. Which in my opinion is a blessing.
I called my manager to make her aware of the break in. They kicked the door in. Any way she notifies me that I was the resident winner of $250 off next months rent! Another blessing.
Then I received an email from Jennifer Webb regarding fundraising. We talked today and her and her husband Joel, his company, Roofity, and Seth Sutton want to do a matching donation fundraiser in the amount of....wait for it...$3,000! So if we can reach $3,000 Sophia's adoption fund will grow by $6,000. I need another $2,500 for the dossier submission out of my funds not the FSP (RR tax deductible donation) and about 9,500 for the first trip.
**A request. If you are going to donate I ask that you please make your donation in the Chip in at the top of the page titled Dossier Submission. It is not a tax deductible site. If you need the tax deduction could I ask you to contact me either on Facebook or here and I can give you my adoption agency information they are a non-profit and then the money will go to the Dossier Submission fund! The adoption agency said once the dossier is submitted I should be travelling very quickly. I will get to meet and accept my referral! Talk about a blessing!
I will be starting an autograph quilt to take with me on one or more of my trips to her country! I want her to know how many people love her and helped to give her a family. I will be asking for a donation per square and the donation will be doubled by the matching dontation! The autograph square will be sent to you and you can sign it drawer on it what ever love you want to send to this precious little girl. I will also send a SASE to return the square to me so I can put them all together into a quilt with the help of my friend Shauna.
The matching donation isn't an on goind event there is a time limit. I would love to see it hit by the end of the year. So that I can get that dossier submitted before all the Eastern European holidays in January. The drive will go through the end of January but as I said I pray we can meet and exceed the grant by the end of 2011! **Thank you to whomever donated and made my FSP jump a $100! Since I wrote this post.
