Those that have been following me know I'm not the best writer out there and it is really hard for me to ask for help. I have been so blessed on this journey. When I have asked people with wonderful hearts have answered. <3 The following post I feel is one of my best posts so I want to re-post for my new viewers who come by due to a blog hop.
There is a precious little girl sitting in an orphanage waiting for her forever family. She has been waiting for 3 years hoping someone would come and save her. I found Sophia about a year ago and knew she was the missing piece in my heart. The daughter I dreamed of. I want to bring her home and give her, her dream of a family.
Paper Pregnancy (Adoption) is expensive. There are agency fees, program fees, document fees, travel costs (multiple trips needed). Traditional pregnancies have a lot of expenses too. Prenatal appointments, hospital fees, doctor fees. Luckily Traditional Pregnancies have insurance and people aren’t turned away for not having insurance or the upfront cost to have a baby. There isn’t any insurance for Paper Pregnancies. And all fees are due upfront.
So I am asking for help. If you would like to be part of the journey to give Sophia a family all I ask is for you to say a prayer for the journey , share with friends and donate $1.00 (or more if so inclined) that’s right 4 quarters, 10 dimes, 20 nickels or 100 pennies. That’s it. If everyone who sees this donated $1 to her fund which is tax deductible (http://www.myjourneyoftheheart.blogspot.com/ or www.reecesrainbow.org/sponsormeier) I could go and get her out of the orphanage!
Keep in mind in various countries children with special needs get transferred into an institution at a very young age. It wasn’t that long ago we did that here. My mom was told to put my sister in an institution when she was 3 weeks old. I’m glad she didn’t do that, my sister is a productive member of our family and society. She works at a sheltered workshop but she takes pride in her work and contributes. She is self sufficient just like any 8-10 year old (her mental age). Heck she won’t even let my mom do the laundry any more; she says “It’s her job” LOL.
So that’s it folks $1 and you will be part of history and giving a little girl a wonderful life with a family who will <3 her and give her all the opportunities she wants.
God Bless,
Megan
Dear Megan,
ReplyDeleteI was able to give a little to help bring beautiful Sophia home. I will be praying that God provides for you on this journey.
I love this post!!! I love your heart friend... I think some people like to see how far you have already come... I know I am one of those.. Have you considered one of those little thermometer things on here? (I'm a little tight on money right now, but will help soon)
